Now you can have a learn Spanish podcast to help with your learning due the growth of the internet and new technology. It is quick and easy, and significantly reduces the need for having physical products, ie books, CD's etc. If you wish to learn while on the go or have a fairly busy life then it is perfect.

I also download MP3 files onto my MP3 player and play it while walking, shopping etc. I find it a bit like subliminal learning, sometimes I don't even realise I have been taking in so much information!
There are a variety of resources available as well as MP3 versions of courses. A podcast is usually a regular download, once a week, for instance for which a subscription would be paid. An MP3 file, on the other hand could contain a whole course of learning material which would previously have been on CD format. Both can be downloaded instantly.

Coffeebreak Spanish
Coffeebreak Spanish is a site which offers free podcasts to visitors to the web site. There are a variety of lessons available from beginner through to advanced. It is based in Scotland, UK and the tutor you hear is Scottish. His pronunciation is extremely good for a Scot I must say! You can, for free listen in to lessons being given to a student. For a subscription you can become a member and access many different resources from various membership choices such as premium, silver and gold.
The site is going through changes as at time of writing (December 2008) therefore it is wise to check out the discussion forum to find all the back lessons given free for podcast purposes. All in, a good site offering a variety of lessons.

Cody's Cuentos is a Spanish language audio program that features classic fairy tales and original children's stories in Spanish. Each audio story is read by a native Spanish speaker from Spain or Latin America. Transcripts of the story are available on the web site.

This an excellent resource for not only podcasts but lesson packs, forum and a cool up to date blog from the founders who live in Madrid. The podcasts are dedicated to giving learners of Spanish 'real' Spanish, as it is spoken on the streets of Spain. Alongside the podcasts transcripts are available from their online shop which also double as a mini exercise. Podcasts are free.
