Spanish Cartoons...Great For The Kids Learning Spanish
Using Spanish cartoons in Spanish lessons is a great way to keep a little one's interest.
I have been using them since my son was around 1 year old and he has picked up so much of the language it leaves me astounded. It is an immersion based learning technique which kids just love. After the first time little ones just want more and more.
Depending on your feelings around visual aids for learning I recommend allowing your child to watch as much (or as little) as you feel comfortable with.
I have found a good few over the years and with the technology behind video sharing then there is a huge amount available to anyone with an internet connection. Especially useful for those of you who do not wish to spend too much in the early stages.
Spanish Cartoons
Here I will share with you some of my own and Lachlan's favourites...Enjoy!
Mickey Mouse En Espanol
Mickey Mouse is still a great favourite of children of all ages, even big kids like me!
More Mickey Mouse?
Pocoyo - El estornudo
Another of our favourites, Pocoyo is fun, colourful and lively. Because Lachlan can watch this in English also it seems to encourage and excite him that it can be found in Spanish. When we watch together it opens up to conversations about Spanish children and the kind of things they do in their country. I find it great for those little (or rather, huge) imaginations to get to work.
