Have you thought of listening to Spanish radio while you are learning? It wasn't something I had thought of until my tutor suggested it to me. I was in the early days of learning and could not understand a word, a bit like double dutch, but it wasn't long begore I was picking out words here and there.
Regardless of what stage you are at, give it a try asit is a fantastic way to add another dimension to your learning.
If your Spanish is at an advanced stage then this is a great way to keep up with current affairs and culture from Spain.
You can access past as well as live broadcasts. There are some great podcasts you can dowload which can help as you learn Spanish. People who enjoy learning by listening will find this particularly useful!
I find having the radio playing in the background when I am cooking etc great for keeping my ears in tune with the native spoken Spanish and it also brings back happy holiday memories

It is now possible to watch Spanish TV without having to pay expensive subscriptions through digital TV. Lomas TV offer a wide range of goodies for subscribers. There are Spanish soaps, news and cultural programmes, videos on grammar and vocabulary . For music lovers there are music videos and travel documentaries for those of you have the bug.
Everything is subtitled in English and can be switched to slow play, excellent for beginners. To enhance the learning experience even more there are exercises to improve on what you have learned.
In my opinion a great way to learn and have fun!
