Clinicaldecision support systems have an important role in ensuring that thehealth of patients who visit the health facility is well safeguarded.The success of this model relies immensely on how they areimplemented as well as ensuring that the methods put up are highlysustainable under a wide range of conditions. They also need to beapplicable in dynamic environments, especially those that arecomplex.

Themajor aim of the initiative involved equipping the nurses with theskills and capacity necessary to take care of highly serious medicalconditions. This helps to ensure that the chance of preventingpatients from succumbing to problems that could be easily handled isheightened, and more patients are now able to survive (Yuan,Finley, Long, Mills and Johnson, 2013).The application of the UFuRT evaluation framework helped to ensurethat the personnel involved in the formulation of policies are ableto come up with plans that are applicable and most importantly, ableto create successful results.

Thepersonnel carried out relevant interviews among the people who wouldbe involved in the implementation of the system so as to establishways through which the program could be strengthened so as to make itmore effective. The process involved developing a prototype in whichfour people in charge of evaluation were put in charge to assess itseffectiveness. These people had a wide knowledge and expertise inmatters related to nursing and taking care of patients. In respect tothis situation, it is important to note that the information obtainedfrom the assessment conducted would play a huge part in showing howeffective the plan would be if it had to be carried through tofinality.
